Kremlin Welcomes Biden's UNGA Statement On Importance Of Diplomatic Effort

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd September, 2021) The Kremlin welcomes US President Joe Biden's statement about the new era of diplomacy, made in his UN General Assembly (UNGA) address, but regrets absence of any mention of mutual respect and equality, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.

In his UNGA address, Biden assured that Washington does not seek a new cold war.

"The main thing for us is that Biden said that wars were over and we entered the age of diplomacy. We were certainly pleased to hear this. Unfortunately, we did not hear any statements that relations should be based on mutual respect and consideration for each other's interests, and be equitable. These are the principles that we adhere to," Peskov told reporters.
