Kurdish YPG Captured 8 IS Militants In Syria, Including Citizens Of Russia, US, Germany

The Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) on Wednesday announced that eight Islamic State (IS or Daesh, terrorist organization banned in Russia) terrorists of different nationalities were captured by the YPG in Syria
"Eight Daesh terrorists of American, Russian, Ukrainian, German, Kazakh, Tajik and Uzbek origin were captured during the operations carried out by our Special Operations Team on January 6th and 7th," the YPG said on its website.
According to the YPG, the group of eight terrorists was plotting attacks on civilians in order to slow down the YPG forces' progress in the town of Hajin in the Deir ez-Zor province. The YPG reported that as the Jazira Storm operation continues in the town of Hajin and surrounding area, the breakup of the Islamic State has accelerated, and more terrorists were seen escaping the area.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which includes the YPG, said on Monday that they have detained five foreign militants belonging to the Islamic State in the Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor.
The group comprised two US citizens, two Pakistani citizens, and one militant from Dublin, Ireland.
The SDF have been engaged in a military operation against the Islamic State in the terrorists' last outpost in the city of Hajin. The US-led coalition has been carrying out frequent airstrikes on Hajin and nearby villages under the pretext of assisting the SDF in its fight against the IS.
The Syrian media have reported civilian casualties as a result of the coalition's airstrikes on numerous occasions, with the Syrian authorities having called on the United Nations to hold those responsible accountable and put an end to the coalition's unauthorized presence on the Syrian territory.
