Lavrov Plans To Meet With Mogherini, Stoltenberg At Munich Conference - Ministry

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is planning to meet with Japanese counterpart Taro Kono, South Korean top diplomat Kang Kyung-wha as well as EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on the sidelines of Munich Security Conference 2019 on February 15-16, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Thursday
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 14th February, 2019) Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is planning to meet with Japanese counterpart Taro Kono, South Korean top diplomat Kang Kyung-wha as well as EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on the sidelines of Munich Security Conference 2019 on February 15-16, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Thursday.
"A number of bilateral and multilateral meetings is expected to take place on the sidelines of the conference.
In particular, Sergey Lavrov is expected to meet with the foreign ministers of Germany, South Korea, Belgium, Pakistan, Mongolia, Armenia, Croatia, and Japan. Separately, meetings with Chinese Foreign Affairs Director Yang Jiechi, the NATO secretary general, Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Libya [Ghassan Salame] and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy [Federica Mogherini] are being negotiated," the spokeswoman said.
