UNITED NATIONS (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 04th June, 2019) The Lima Group during its next meeting on Thursday will decide how an outreach program that includes the participation of Russia, Cuba and China can assist in addressing the political crisis in Venezuela, Peruvian Foreign Minister Nester Popolizio told Sputnik.
Earlier in the day, representatives of the Lima Group and the International Contact Group (ICG) on Venezuela held their first joint meeting at a ministerial level at the United Nations headquarters in New York to address the Venezuelan crisis.
"We are going to decide how we are going to [proceed with the] outreach program in the next days in Guatemala... It is very important to have these very important countries [Russia, China, Cuba] to be a part of the solution and not to be a part of the problem," Popolizio said on Monday.
