Long Extension Of Brexit Deadline Still Option For UK - Tusk

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd March, 2019) European Council President Donald Tusk said the options for the UK withdrawal from the European Union included leaving the bloc with a deal or without it; having a long extension of Brexit; and revoking its decision to leave the bloc, adding that the long extension option would not be available if London decides not to participate in the European Parliament elections by April 12.

"The UK government will still have a choice of a deal, no deal, a long extension or revoking Article 50. The 12th o April is the key day in terms of the UK deciding whether to hold European Parliament elections. If it is not decided to do so by then, the option of the long extension will automatically become impossible," Tusk told a press conference after the European Council meeting in Brussels.
