MADRID (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th February, 2019) A group of members of the European Parliament, expelled from Venezuela, is demanding that the EU withdraw from the contact group on settlement in that country, head of the delegation, lawmaker from the People's Party, Esteban Gonzalez Pons, said.

"Our parliamentary group, the most numerous in the European Parliament, demands that at the meeting of foreign ministers today the decision be made to withdraw from the contact group, to stop participation in the contact group," Pons said at a press conference in Madrid.

He also demanded that the EU strip Venezuelan ambassadors to the EU of credentials.
