MiG-35 To Cost India 20% Less Than Similar Foreign Models - Russia's MiG Corporation

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st February, 2019) Russia's advanced MiG-35 light-class fighter jet participating in the Indian Air Force tender for the purchase of 110 aircraft of this class, will cost New Delhi 20 percent less than similar foreign models, the Russian MiG Aircraft Corporation said Thursday.

The presentation of the MiG-35 aircraft to India's Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was held earlier in the day on the sidelines of the Aero India-2019 air show in Bangalore.

"During a teleconference between Russia and India, the technical advantages of the 4++ generation multirole fighter were demonstrated. The purchase and operation of the MiG-35 fighter will be up to 20 percent cheaper than similar offers of our direct competitors," the company's press service said.
