Moldova's Constitutional Court suspended Igor Dodon from his duties as president of the country in order to approve five laws that had not received his approval

CHISINAU (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 10th December, 2018) Moldova's Constitutional Court suspended Igor Dodon from his duties as president of the country in order to approve five laws that had not received his approval.

"The circumstances are stated that justify the temporary resignation of the president from office because of his refusal to fulfill constitutional obligations and promulgate (approve) laws approved by parliament.

On the basis of article 91 of the constitution, the parliament speaker will sign these laws as acting president," Constitutional Court Chairman Mihai Poalelungi said.
