CHISINAU (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 20th October, 2018) Moldovan President Igor Dodon said on Friday that his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan invited him to attend the opening ceremony of an Istanbul airport on October 29.
"Erdogan invited me to the opening of a new airport in Istanbul, which will be one of the three largest airports in the world. It will be opened on October 29, on the Republic Day in Turkey," Dodon told the NTV Moldova broadcaster.
The president said Chisinau and Ankara had good working relations, adding that during his visit to Istanbul the sides would continue a discussion they started during Erdogan's visit to Moldova earlier this week.
"We will continue our discussion, it will take place right after [Erdogan's] meeting with [Russian President Vladimir] Putin, [German Chancellor Angela] Merkel and [French President Emmanuel] Macron," Dodon noted.
Erdogan paid a visit to Moldova on Wednesday. The sides signed several cooperation agreements.
