Moscow To Host Valdai Discussion Club's Middle East Conference On February 19-20

A two-day conference addressing a whole range of Middle Eastern issues, which will be attended by high-ranking officials from different parts of the region, will start in the Russian capital on Tuesday

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 19th February, 2019) A two-day conference addressing a whole range of middle Eastern issues, which will be attended by high-ranking officials from different parts of the region, will start in the Russian capital on Tuesday.

The event dubbed "Middle East: New Stage, Old Problems?" is organized by the Valdai Discussion Club in partnership with the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian academy of Sciences.

The conference's sessions are expected to focus on Russia's policy in the region, fight against terrorism, reconstruction of Syria, collective security, and oil industry.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister Mohamed Elbadri, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Seyed Kazem Sajjadpour, Adviser to the Syrian President Bouthaina Shaaban, and Adviser to the Iraqi Prime Minister Abdulkarim Hashim Mostafa are among the attendees.
