Mueller Report Says Russia Interfered In 2016 US Elections Via Social Media

A redacted version of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report on the investigation into allegations of Trump-Russian collusion and Russian meddling in the 2016 US presidential elections revealed on Thursday that it concluded Russia did interfere in the election through social media campaigns and computer hacking
"The Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election in sweeping and systematic fashion," the report said. "First, a Russian entity carried out a social media campaign that favored presidential candidate Donald J.
Trump. ... Second, a Russian intelligence service conducted computer-intrusion operations against ... the Clinton Campaign."
Russia has repeatedly refuted claims of interfering in the US political system, saying the allegations were made up to excuse the election loss of a presidential candidate as well as to deflect public attention from actual instances of election fraud and corruption.
