MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 14th March, 2019) NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said Thursday he had accepted the invitation to address the US Congress in April and was looking forward to this.

"It is a great honor to be invited to speak to a joint meeting of the US Congress.

I am grateful for the bipartisan invitation to do so and I, of course, accept that invitation. I am actually very much looking forward to speak to the Congress," Stoltenberg told a press conference after presenting his annual report.

The congressional leaders of both Republican and Democratic parties have invited Stoltenberg to speak at the Congress on April 3.

A meeting of NATO foreign ministers will be held in Washington on April 3-4.
