BRUSSELS (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th January, 2019) NATO defense ministers will gather in Brussels on February 13 and 14 for negotiations, the alliance's press service reported on Friday.

"Meetings of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) at the level of Defence Ministers will be held at the NATO Headquarters on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 February 2019," a brief announcement of the event said.

The meetings will be chaired by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the press service added.

The program of the meeting will be announced later, according to the press release.

The announcement of negotiations of NATO defense ministers comes just a couple of days after the United States threatened to suspend its obligations under the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF Treaty) starting on February 2. A number of EU officials have expressed concern over Washington's plans, stressing that the agreement was a cornerstone of both European and world's security architecture.
