The Nigerian military said late Friday it had lifted a ban on UNICEF operations in the ravaged northeast after earlier suspending the aid agency and accusing it of training "spies" supporting Boko Haram.

The military said the decision to the revoke the ban followed an "intervention by wellmeaning and concerned Nigerians".
