The spokesman said that Russian President Vladimir Putin was not expected to attend a meeting of French, German and Ukrainian leaders in Paris, where they discussed the recent elections in self-proclaimed republics in the southeast of Ukraine.

"No, [his attendance] was not expected. In fact, there are no necessary grounds for the discussion in Normandy Four format for now, there are no prerequisites. There is not even a hint that [such a meeting] could bring results. That is why it was a separate meeting that was held without Putin," Peskov told reporters.
