North Korean Ceremonial Leader Arrives in Beijing - Reports

Kim Yong Nam, North Korea's ceremonial head of state, has arrived in the Chinese capital, local media reported on Tuesday.

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 20th November, 2018) Kim Yong Nam, North Korea's ceremonial head of state, has arrived in the Chinese capital, local media reported on Tuesday.

Kim's plane landed at Beijing Capital International Airport, the Yonhap news agency reported, suggesting that this could be just a stop on Kim's way to Latin America.

The Korean Central News Agency reported on Sunday that Kim, heading a North Korean delegation, would hold official visits to Cuba, Venezuela and Mexico.

While the dates of the visits have not been specified, Kim is set to participate in the swearing-in ceremony of Mexican President-elect Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, scheduled for December 1.
