TOKYO (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 24th January, 2019) North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has ordered to start working-level preparations for the second summit with the United States after North Korean delegation's recent visit to Washington, local media reported on Thursday.
Kim has met with the North Korean delegation following talks with US President Donald Trump at the White House last week.
At the meeting, Kim said he was satisfied with the results of talks in Washington and outlined tasks and direction of working-level preparations for the new North Korea-US summit, according to the Korean Central news Agency.
On January 18, Trump met with the deputy chair of North Korean Workers' Party's central committee, Kim Yong Chol. The White House later announced that Trump and Kim would hold a second summit in late February, following on from their first meeting in Singapore last June, when the two sides pledged to work toward the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula. An exact date and location for the second meeting has not been announced yet.
