Olympics: Ukraine's Cheban Wins Men's Single Canoe 200m Gold Medal

RIO DE JANEIRO, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th August, 2016) - London 2012 gold medallist Iurii Cheban of Ukraine retained his single canoe 200m title on Thursday in Rio, jumping to the lead off the start line and holding on to win in 39.279sec. Azerbaijan's Valentin Demyanko claimed silver at the Lagoa Stadium sprint canoe course and bronze went to Brazil's Isaquias Queiroz dos Santos.
