Olympics: Uzbek weightlifter Nurudinov wins 105kg gold

RIO DE JANEIRO, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Augst,2016) - Weightlifter Ruslan Nurudinov, known as the "Pride of Uzbekistan", struck gold in the men's 105kg class with an Olympic record at the Rio Games on Monday. The 24-year-old raised a combined total of 431kg above his head to win by a massive 14kg.

His lift of 237kg in the clean and jerk set a new Olympic record.
