One Of Oldest US Universities Introduces Course On 'Russian Hybrid Warfare'

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 13th January, 2019) One of the oldest and most influential US educational institutions, Georgetown University, introduces a course for students called "Russian Hybrid Warfare," according to the course description published on the Coursicle website.

"This course will cover the Russian doctrine and ideology that lays the groundwork for the Kremlin's global imperialist insurgency; discuss examples and case studies of these tactics and operations, as well as their history; and explore why it is so challenging for the United States and its allies to combat full-spectrum/hybrid warfare," the course description says.

During the course, the students will be told, in particular, about Russian "bots, trolls", about Kremlin's "information operations" of the Kremlin, alleged interference in US elections, and "annexation of Crimea."

The course is scheduled to start in spring this year.

Sputnik does not have any quick comment from the university.
