One Shooter at Large After Shots Fired in France's Strasbourg - Mayor

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 12th December, 2018) At least one shooter is at large after opening fire in the center of Strasbourg in northeastern France, the mayor of the city told local media on Tuesday.

Roland Ries was quoted as saying by Le Figaro newspaper that "the gunman has not been apprehended as of yet" after wounding several people.

"My immediate thoughts are with the victims," he later tweeted.

The Interior Ministry issued a warning on Twitter, saying a "serious public safety situation is underway in Strasbourg. Inhabitants are advised to stay at home."
