Over 21 Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) Suspects Arrested In Istanbul

At least 21 suspects have been arrested in Istanbul for their alleged links with Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), the group behind the 2016 coup attempt, security sources said on Monday.
ISTANBUL, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Sep, 2018 ) :At least 21 suspects have been arrested in Istanbul for their alleged links with Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), the group behind the 2016 coup attempt, security sources said on Monday.
The police arrested the suspects after they conducted anti-terror raids at 54 locations in 24 districts of the city, said the sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
The suspects are accused of using the organization's encrypted messaging application ByLock and being involved in training activities of the organization.
The police also seized a number of organizational documents and digital tools.
Separately, Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued arrest warrants for 61 suspected FETO members including 18 active-duty personnel as part of a probe into the Turkish Land Forces Command and the Turkish Naval Forces Command.
According to the Turkish government, FETO and its US-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup of July 15, 2016, which left 251 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.
