Over 250,000 tourists will arrive in Venezuela on Thursday and Friday to attend the country's traditional carnival, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said on Thursday

BUENOS AIRES (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 28th February, 2019) Over 250,000 tourists will arrive in Venezuela on Thursday and Friday to attend the country's traditional carnival, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said on Thursday.

"We're preparing to welcome over 250,000 tourists who will arrive in Venezuela for the carnival," Maduro said in his address, broadcast on Twitter.

The country's minister for interior relations and justice, Nestor Reverol, said, in his turn, that over 200,000 officers will be ensuring security across the country during the festive event.
