"In 2018, about 4,000 units of armored vehicles and equipment, including automotive, were sent to the Russian Armed Forces, while more than 3,000 units were put into operation. In total, the share of modern armored vehicles in the troops increased from 29 percent last year to 31 percent this year, while the share of automotive vehicles rose from 54 percent to 59 percent," Shevchenko told reporters.
He added that in 2018, the Russian troops got over 180 tanks, some 300 infantry fighting vehicles and 250 armored personnel carriers.
