GAZA (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 14th January, 2019) A Palestinian teen on Monday succumbed to the injuries he sustained during clashes with Israeli forces that were sparked by Friday protests at the Gaza border, the Gaza Health Ministry spokesman, Ashraf Qedra, told Sputnik.
"A 14-year-old Palestinian teenager, who was injured last Friday on the eastern borders of the city of Gaza, died in a hospital on [Monday] morning," Qedra said.
The news comes a day after the Palestinian Health Ministry said in a press release that a 33-year-old Palestinian had died from severe wounds sustained a few weeks prior in a protest in the south of Gaza.
The Gaza border area has been a scene of violent clashes between Palestinians and the Israeli military since late March, when Palestinians launched their anti-Israeli campaign dubbed the Great March of Return. Since then, rallies have been held weekly, with dozens being killed and hundreds of others injured in the violence.
