Papua New Guinea's Prime Minister Confirms Declaration to Be Issued Following APEC Summit

PORT MORESBY (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th November, 2018) A declaration summarizing the results of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit will be issued, Papua New Guinea's Prime Minister Peter O'Neill, the host of the summit, told reporters on Sunday.

Media reports arose earlier in the day that the summit had finished for the first time ever with no declaration signed by the APEC states' leaders, while a source in one of the delegations told Sputnik that a declaration was passed, excluding certain controversial points.

O'Neill said that the declaration will be released later on Sunday.
