Pashinyan's Bloc Leading In Armenian Snap Election With 70% Of Vote - Election Commission

YEREVAN (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 10th December, 2018) Acting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's My Step Alliance is leading in the country's snap parliamentary election with over 70 percent of the vote, the Central Election Commission said on Monday after 50 percent of ballots were counted.

"The My Step bloc is gaining 70.

16 percent of the vote. The Prosperous Armenia party is second with 8.34 percent of the vote," the commission said in a statement on its website, having counted ballots from 1,026 of 2,010 polling stations.

According to preliminary results, the pro-European Bright Armenia party is also passing the 5-percent electoral threshold, receiving 6.52 percent of the vote.
