MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 19th September, 2018) A car was rammed into a group of Muslim worshippers near a mosque in northwest London, police said Wednesday, adding they were treating it as a potential hate crime.
"This incident is not being treated as terror related but the hate crime aspect of the collision is being looked at by detectives as an aggravating factor," Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
Police were alerted to a collision outside a Muslim community center in Cricklewood shortly after midnight. Three pedestrians were injured and hospitalized.
Four car occupants - three males and a woman - are at large. They were allegedly drinking and using drugs before getting in a verbal altercation with the worshippers, in which words of "Islamophobic nature" were used.
