Polling Station Official Killed In Northern Mali: Security Sources

Bamako, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Aug, 2018 ) :The head of a polling station was killed by suspected jihadists on Sunday as Malians voted in a presidential runoff, according to a local official and security sources.
"Jihadists came this sunday around 13:30 (1330 GMT) to a polling station in Arkodia," in the restive northern Timbuktu region, a local elected official told AFP.
"They asked everyone to put their hands up. The polling station president tried to escape. The jihadists shot and killed him," the source said.
The incident was confirmed by two security sources.
