US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is leaving for Saudi Arabia within the hour to speak with King Salman about the disappearance of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who went missing earlier this month in Turkey, President Donald Trump said on Monday.
WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 15th October, 2018) US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is leaving for Saudi Arabia within the hour to speak with King Salman about the disappearance of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who went missing earlier this month in Turkey, President Donald Trump said on Monday.
"Mike Pompeo is leaving literally within an hour or so. He's heading to Saudi Arabia," Trump told reporters outside the White House.
