US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin during his four-nation tour of Europe that begins on May 30, State Department Spokesperson Morgan Ortagus said in a press release on Friday

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 24th May, 2019) US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin during his four-nation tour of Europe that begins on May 30, State Department Spokesperson Morgan Ortagus said in a press release on Friday.

"Pompeo will travel to Germany, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and the United Kingdom from May 30 to June 5...

In Berlin, Secretary Pompeo will meet with Chancellor Angela Merkel and Foreign Minister [Heiko] Maas," Ortagus said.

In Switzerland Pompeo will hold talks with Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis, Swiss business leaders and the head of the World Health Organization (WHO), Ortagus said, before heading to The Hague to participate in the opening of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

Pompeo will then join US President Donald Trump's state visit to the UK, Ortagus added.
