Poroshenko's Solidarity Party To Support 'Good Initiatives' Of Zelenskiy - Party Member

KIEV (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd April, 2019) Maksym Savrasov, a Ukrainian lawmaker from Petro Poroshenko Bloc "Solidarity" of the incumbent Ukrainian president, said on Monday that the party was ready to support "good" initiatives of presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelenskiy, leading in the presidential race.

"We are ready to support all the good initiatives of Mister Zelenskiy. We are ready to support all [the initiatives] that the political program of our party, Petro Poroshenko Bloc "Solidarity", envisions. We are against some things that Mister Zelenskiy has not perhaps announced yet.

Because we have very poor knowledge of his program, we are not well aware of the vector of his policies," Savrasov said, as quoted on the website of the Hromadske.tv broadcaster.

Poroshenko and Zelenskiy faced each other in the second round of the Ukrainian presidential election on Sunday. After 80.78 percent of ballots were counted, Zelenskiy is leading with 73.09 percent of the vote. Poroshenko has already expressed readiness to offer to the new leader of Ukraine a shoulder to lean on.
