President Lukashenko Says Saudi Arabia Important Partner For Belarus In Middle East

MINSK (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 23rd September, 2018) Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on National Day and said that the kingdom was an important partner for Belarus in the middle East, the presidential press service said on Sunday.
"Belarus considers your country an important partner in the Middle Eastern region and seeks to further strengthen our fruitful relations in the spheres of politics, trade, economy, science, technology and other fields," Lukashenko's message said as quoted by the press service.
Belarus and Saudi Arabia established diplomatic relations in 1997. In 2015, the two countries also held the first meeting of the joint intergovernmental Belarusian-Saudi Committee for Cooperation in Riyadh.
