MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 25th April, 2019) President of Madagascar Andry Rajoelina will attend the Russia-Africa summit in October, Gen. Richard Rakotonirina, the defense minister of Madagascar, told Sputnik.

"The president has already confirmed his visit and his participation in this summit," the minister said.

Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin said earlier in April that some 40 heads of state were expected at the summit set to be held in the Black Sea resort city of Sochi.

The defense minister of Madagascar is in Moscow for the Conference on International Security.
