WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 15th May, 2019) President Donald Trump's eldest son has reached an agreement with the Republican-controlled Senate Intelligence Committee to give a private interview after he was subpoenaed, US media reported.
Donald Trump Jr. will sit down with lawmakers in coming weeks in a time limited exchange, the New York Times said on Tuesday.
The deal also defuses a clash between Trump allies in the Senate and Intelligence Committee Chairman Senator Richard Burr, also a Republican, the report added. The president's supporters criticized Burr for not blocking the issue of the subpoena against Trump Junior.
Senate investigators are interested in asking Trump's son about meetings with Russian contacts over building a Trump Tower project in Moscow, according to the report.
