The presidential runoff in Ukraine is assessed positively, although there is still space for improvement, Ambassador Peter Tejler, who led the observer delegation of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, said Monday

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd April, 2019) The presidential runoff in Ukraine is assessed positively, although there is still space for improvement, Ambassador Peter Tejler, who led the observer delegation of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, said Monday.

The runoff took place on Sunday. Volodymyr Zelenskiy is winning over incumbent President Petro Poroshenko, the preliminary results indicate.

"The election day is assessed positively, but as it's also been said, there is scope for further improvement," Tejler told the press conference.
