Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived on Saturday in the German capital of Berlin to hold talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

BERLIN (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th August, 2018) Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived on Saturday in the German capital of Berlin to hold talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Putin arrived in Berlin from Austria where he attended the wedding ceremony of Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl earlier in the day.

Putin and Merkel will meet in Schloss Meseberg located about 70 kilometers (43.5 miles) north of Berlin.

The Russian and German leaders are expected to discuss the Syrian and Ukrainian crises, as well as bilateral ties and US economic sanctions.
