Putin, Estonia Leader Discussed Russian-Speaking Minority's Life in Baltic States- Kremlin

Russian and Estonian presidents Vladimir Putin and Kersti Kaljulaid discussed the life of the Russian-speaking minority in the Baltic states, there is some flexibility on the part of Estonian partners, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday

NOVOSIBIRSK (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th April, 2019) Russian and Estonian presidents Vladimir Putin and Kersti Kaljulaid discussed the life of the Russian-speaking minority in the Baltic states, there is some flexibility on the part of Estonian partners, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday.

"The situation of the Russian-speaking minority in Estonia and other Baltic countries was and remains an extremely important topic for us, as well as the ongoing problem, on the one hand, with non-citizens, which is not being solved. On the other hand, there is a certain flexibility that our Estonian counterparts display in terms of delaying the transition of Russian schools to the Estonian language," Peskov said in an interview with the Vremya program on Russia's Channel One.
