Putin-Lukashenko Talks to Be Held in Moscow Dec 25 - Lukashenko

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Friday that he was planning to hold a meeting with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, in the Russian capital of Moscow on December 25, while the Kremlin confirmed the meeting.

MOSCOW/MINSK (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 14th December, 2018) Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Friday that he was planning to hold a meeting with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, in the Russian capital of Moscow on December 25, while the Kremlin confirmed the meeting.

Earlier in the day, Lukashenko said that he wanted to hold a meeting with Putin soon to discuss the problematic issues of the bilateral relations.

"As I've been told, Vladimir Vladimirovich [Putin] suggests meeting in the Kremlin on December 25 to discuss these issues," Lukashenko said at a press conference for Russian media.

Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei confirmed to Sputnik that the meeting would be held in Moscow.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed to Sputnik that the meeting would be held on December 25.
