SOCHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Augst,2016) : Moscow is sincerely set to restore and develop bilateral relations with Turkey, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday. "We are sincerely seeking to restore full-format relations with our friendly country Turkey with which we have had unique relations of cooperation and coordination for many years," Putin said at the meeting with Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev. The latest visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Russia "confirmed our joint determination for full work not only to restore but also to develop our bilateral relations," Putin added.
The Russian president thanked Nazarbayev for his mediation in restoring the relations saying that this mission has been successful. Nazarbayev said he was glad to see this positive result.
He noted that the relations of Moscow and Ankara also influenced the situation in Kazakhstan. "We were sticking to the position of Russia in this conflict," he added. The Russian and Turkish presidents held their first talks on August 9 in St.
Petersburg after the 8-month freeze in bilateral relations following the downing of a Russian Su-24 jet by the Turkish Air Force last November.
