KUBINKA (Moscow Region) (UrduPoint news / Sputnik - 19th September, 2018) Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the gallery for sniper shooting and fired several shots with a SVCh sniper rifle on Wednesday at the center of Russia's renowned Kalashnikov Concern at the Patriot military park.
Earlier in the day, Putin held a session of the Russian Military-Industrial Commission at the Patriot park in Moscow region.
The Kalashnikov center demonstrated to Putin two new experimental rifle prototypes. After that, the Russian president fired five shots with an SVCh rifle at a target from a distance of 600 meters (1,968 feet), hitting the target more than half of the time.
Kalashnikov Concern was created in 2013 in a merger of two Soviet-era plants - Izhmash and Izhevsk Mechanical Plant - becoming Russia's largest producer of rifles and other weaponry.
