Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko will discuss the Eurasian integration and international issues on Friday in Russia's Black Sea resort city of Sochi, the Kremlin press service said on Thursday.

In August, the Belarusian president's press service said that Lukashenko was set to meet with Putin on September 21.

"On September 21, President Vladimir Putin will meet with President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in Sochi, who will be in Russia on a working visit. During the talks, the key issues of bilateral relations, prospects for promotion of Eurasian integration, as well as current international problems will be discussed," the Kremlin said.

Moreover, the meeting will be devoted to agricultural issues as well as trade and financial cooperation, according to the Belarusian president's press service

Russia and Belarus are long-term partners, both serving as members of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) alongside Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. EAEU encourages regional economic integration through the free movement of goods, services, and people within the union.
