Putin Urges OSCE To Contribute More To Ukrainian Conflict Settlement

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday urged the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) to contribute positively to the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict
"As for the work of the OSCE, in my opinion, this organization does not fully meet the requirements, the goals for which it was created. We have a lot of problems on this continent, but we do not really deal with them," Putin said at a meeting with representatives of the French public during his visit to Crimea.
Putin noted that in the past the OSCE had paid close attention to important human rights issues, but this is absolutely not enough.
"We very much hope that the OSCE will make its positive contribution - the organization at present is quite active in the south-east of Ukraine - that it will contribute to the settlement of this crisis, as well as of many other crises in Europe. We are ready for this, we will strive towards this goal in every possible way," the Russian president stressed.
