MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 16th January, 2019) Russian President Vladimir Putin's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said he expected macroeconomic stability in the country to continue into 2019, in an interview with a local newspaper out Wednesday.
"I expect macroeconomic stability to continue...
The economic growth is slow and too many people still live in poverty and it's absolutely unacceptable. The president sees this problem as his main priority," he told the Argumenty i Fakty weekly.
Peskov said he hoped that Russia would use this stability to make a breakthrough in technology and productivity. He said national projects mapped out the way toward achieving these goals.
