Italian Ambassador to Russia Pasquale Terracciano on Wednesday voiced the belief that Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Italy, scheduled for July, would confirm the positive development of Russian-Italian political ties

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 17th April, 2019) Italian Ambassador to Russia Pasquale Terracciano on Wednesday voiced the belief that Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Italy, scheduled for July, would confirm the positive development of Russian-Italian political ties.

"I am sure that the planned visit of president Putin, which we expect [to happen] in July this year, will be able to confirm the positive dynamics of political ties and will become a powerful impetus for further development of our relations, which are gaining momentum after the 2014 decline," Terracciano said at a roundtable in the upper house of the Russian parliament.

Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said on April 5 that Putin would hold a visit to Italy in mid-summer.

Russian Ambassador to Italy Sergey Razov voiced the belief on March 27 that Putin's visit would be a significant signal for further strengthening of the Russian-Italian traditional friendship.
