Qatar To Send Ministerial, CEO Delegation To Russia's VTB Investment Forum - Ambassador

Qatar will send ministerial and business delegations to the 10th annual "RUSSIA CALLING!" Investment Forum, organized by the Russian VTB Capital investment bank and due to be held in Moscow on November 28-30, Qatari Ambassador to Russia Fahd Bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah told Sputnik on Thursday.

ST. PETERSBURG (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 15th November, 2018) Qatar will send ministerial and business delegations to the 10th annual "RUSSIA CALLING!" Investment Forum, organized by the Russian VTB Capital investment bank and due to be held in Moscow on November 28-30, Qatari Ambassador to Russia Fahd Bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah told Sputnik on Thursday.

"On November 28, there will be an investment forum organized by VTB, we are expecting a delegation at the ministerial level and at the CEO level. It will be led by the minister of finance or the minister of economy," the ambassador stated.

He stressed that Qatar had always been very interested in the Russian market and would continue to invest in the most promising sectors of the Russian economy.

"It is a very big and promising market. Two weeks ago we had an investment delegation from the Qatar investment authority. These exchanges never stop. Next, we will participate in the VTB forum," the diplomat underlined.

The annual "RUSSIA CALLING!" Investment Forum brings together investors, businessmen and policymakers from all over the world and aims to promote strategic investment in the Russian economy. The forum's plenary session is traditionally attended by the Russian president, who addresses the event's participants in a keynote speech.

In 2017, the VTB Capital forum gathered over 2,500 attendees, including more than 500 investors from over 60 countries of the world.
