Republican Rick Scott wins Florida senate seat: results

Miami, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Nov, 2018 ) :Florida's outgoing Republican Governor Rick Scott narrowly won a Senate seat in a bitterly contested race with incumbent Bill Nelson, official results showed Sunday.

"I just spoke with Senator Bill Nelson, who graciously conceded, and I thanked him for his years of public service," Scott wrote on his Facebook page.

Official final results from the Florida Division of Elections showed Scott barely edged Nelson at 50.05 percent against 49.93 percent, just over 10,000 votes.
