MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 10th January, 2019) Deputy head of Russian space corporation Roscosmos Sergey Savelyev and his NASA counterpart, Al Condes, have discussed NASA's decision to revoke Roscosmos chief Dmitry Rogozin's invitation to visit the United States, the Russian space agency's press service told Sputnik on Thursday.
On Sunday, NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine said he had canceled Rogozin's invitation because he wanted to accommodate the interests of US senators.
"Yes, the negotiations have taken place," the Roscosmos press service said, adding that there was nothing to add except that "the meeting was constructive.
"
According to Roscosmos, Rogozin received an invitation from NASA in December to visit the NASA headquarters in Washington, Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas and Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
Last week, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen urged NASA to withdraw Rogozin's invitation due to the fact that he was sanctioned by the US government over the Ukraine crisis.
