ST. PETERSBURG (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 06th June, 2019) Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency and the Russian Roscongress Foundation, an organizer of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in Russia, signed an agreement on strategic cooperation at the forum on Thursday.
"We [people] are informational predators: we need constant recharging, informational food, preferably fresh. In this case, we believe that we have received another source of this informational food," Rossiya Segodnya Director General Dmitry Kiselev, who signed the agreement on behalf of the news agency, said.
According to Roscongress Foundation CEO Alexander Stuglev, the co-signer, the agreement was symbolic for the beginning of the first working day at SPIEF.
"It is absolutely clear that if you do not have a reliable informational friend, I am not even talking about a 'partner,' you can organize the best event in the world, but no one will know about it," Stuglev added.
This year's edition of SPIEF is held from Thursday to Saturday. Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency is the official media partner of the forum.
