Russia, China Believe International Disputes Must Be Solved Only Within UN - Medvedev

Russia and China proceed from the assumption that only the United Nations can be a platform for settling international disputes, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Monday
SHANGHAI (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 05th November, 2018) Russia and China proceed from the assumption that only the United Nations can be a platform for settling international disputes, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Monday.
"Both Russia and China are permanent members of the [UN] Security Council, therefore, we have a special mission in making decisions on the United Nations platform that are important for all the mankind.
By the way, our countries proceed from the fact that the only comprehensive platform for resolving all sorts of international disputes and problems is the United Nations, and not some surrogates or virtual organizations established for discussing some issues," Medvedev said during an online conference in China.
Medvedev added that Russia and China have a long experience of cooperation in security sphere and the two states cooperate to counter new emerging threats such as cybercrime.
